We wish could capture them all for you, but we have a pretty good start. These are real people, getting real fitness, showing real results.   • My weight loss ha been 70lbs since July, completely unreal. Performance wise, I’ve noticed the most in my surfing. I used to be smoked after paddling out for 5 minutes. I can now out paddle my male co-workers, straight up awesomeness! They now come to CrossFit!!! I still remember crying/hyperventilating because Largo wouldn’t let me run a Reed Lane lap instead of Punchbowl loop. Who knew that 4 months later, I would be able to finish a marathon! The only training was CFO!

  • I started crossfitting in 2007 a few months after my mom and sister. My fist WODs were Karen and Fight Gone Bad, which was a little scary. After a while, though, I really started enjoying crossfit. In November 2009, the Burgener family came to CFO and I got really excited about Olympic Weightlifting. Since January of last year, I’ve been training at CFO to be competitive weightlifter.

  • After CrossFitting for a few months, I began to see CrossFit, specifically CrossFit Oahu in a different light. Beyond the fitness, skills and the nutrition, I could not help but notice the people and the culture and how it was beginning to affect me. The CFO culture seemed to develop and nurture extraordinarily positive characteristics in its members and it was infectious. The CFO culture embodies the “Spirit of Aloha”, a microcosm of the culture of these beautiful islands in which we live. Bryant and the coaches deserve much of the credit for this culture. They establish the environment and the members feed off there leadership.

  • I'm not naturally athletic, struggled with my weight since I was young, and was always self-conscious and uncomfortable going into the gym.  But CFO changed all that -- I was an absolute beginner to CrossFit when I started, but with the encouragement and guidance of the fantastic coaches here I have progressed by leaps and bounds and am able to do so much more than I could have ever imagined for myself.  And the members here are amazing -- I have made so many wonderful friends at CFO, it really is a family and I am so grateful and happy to be a part of the CFO ohana :)

  • Crossfit isn't about the equipment, the gear, or your Fran time.  It's about a community that welcomes everyone, celebrates every improvement, and inspires you to take every hurdle with a smile.  Crossfit Oahu is about helping regular people achieve healthy living and I'm incredibly thankful for the coaches and members who have helped me halve myself - literally - in the last few years.  I started out at an unhappy size 14/16 and am thrilled to be a healthy size 6/8!  I won't ever compete in the Crossfit Games, but I'll be a Crossfitter for life!

  • My name is Erica Rios I’m 32 years old and I’ve been a member of Crossfit Waipio since September 2012. After being relatively thin my whole life, at 30 years old I found myself over weight and having constant aches and pains all over my body. I heard about Crossfit through my family and decided it was time for a change. After the first class I was hooked, and have gone through such a wonderful physical and mental transformation. Down 35lbs I have regained confidence and for the first time in my life consider myself an athlete.

  • I started CrossFit in Oct 2011 after returning from my last deployment to Iraq. I wanted something challenging and fun to do to enhance my fitness and I found all of that at CFW and CFO. From fitness to skills OLY lifting to nutrition I found that and more once I joined. This was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The sense of community, family, and motivation drew me in even more . The coaches and athletes helped take my fitness to an even greater level. CF makes me work not only harder in the box, but at work as well and has helped me set a positive example for others seeking to become more physically fit.

  • My biggest and most memorable accomplishment was when I took part in the paleo challenge in August 2009. I started off at 112lbs and got down to 98lbs (high school weight) in about 2 months. My eating habits have changed so much since then. CrossFit continues to be a work in progress. There are many things I still need to master like kicking up to a handstand. I hope it happens soon. Maybe this year?

  • I joined CrossFit because I was bored with the same old gym routine and wasn't seeing the progress I was hoping I would get with the time I invested. At first, I thought I was just joining another gym that happened to include cardio. What I didn't realize is that I was joining a community made up of both athletes and casual exercisers. What makes CrossFit so special and unique is when you workout with people around you and suffer through the same workouts together week in and week out, it brings you closer together and they become your family. I found myself coming not just to work out, but to be with friends. The coaches are there not to run the class but to bring out the best in every person. I guarantee when you come you'll wonder why you didn't join sooner."

  • I’m addicted to CrossFit and everything that goes with it. There are so many things I still have to accomplish at CFO and every week I can see that I get better at some movement. I can remember when I couldn’t even do one pull-up! Bryant told me a long time ago that he would get me ready for the Sergeants Major Academy, that was during my first month, He was right- I leave the island on 1 June to attend the United States Army Sergeants major’s Academy and my final promotion in the Army. I go there in the best shape in my life, able to max the Army Physical Fitness test, able to do Pull-ups, run 5 and 10K’s like they are nothing and living life to the fullest! Every Coach at CFO has touched my life in some way. Dirty, Juggins, PBJ, Largo, Maria, Stef, Kiley, Courtney and Bryant-I’ll never forget what they have done for me and there positive attitudes.
