For all of you natural fiber fans out there and those who strive to be…Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a great way to get fresh, local, organic fruits and vegetables delivered near your home on a regular basis. Read more about CSA’s here. There is currently only one CSA on Oahu, Just-Add-Water in Waimanalo. They offer a variety of produce, coffee, tea, honey, and flowers and deliver all over the island on a weekly basis.

Other places to find local, God’s candy…check out one of the many Oahu farmer’s markets.
Post in the comments here your biggest barrier to eating more fruits and vegetables.

Our local turkish get up god Chris Lee (135lbs each arm!!). He is no savage, he eats his meat with one hand (I don’t know either, ask him).
P.S. He’s not James

First of all, congrats to Mike and Kat on the impending birth of their first baby. Kat has always been active and desires to maintain fitness throughout her pregnancy. After surviving her first trimester and the accompanying nausea, she was ready to get back to being active. Her husband, Mike, suggested she try CrossFit because it can be scaled to anyone’s physical abilities, including pregnancy. I think Kat was a little concerned, but CFO provided the answer. We put together a workout that will provide overall strength and conditioning, as well as focus on areas of importance for a smooth delivery and return to activity after the baby is born. The workouts are scaled to meet Kat’s individual needs and she is achieving every milestone, showing increased strength and conditioning in just a few short weeks.

And better late than never, here are Lee and Miki of HyperFit enjoying their vacation out here.

Aloha, fellow crossfitters,
If you’re wondering a month from now, “What happened to Steve?”, I just wanted to let you all know that I’m not pussin’ out. My brother (see the puker above) and I will, for the next 6-8 months, be sailing from Darwin, Australia to Cape Town, South Africa via Christmas Island, cocos keeling, and some of the islands off Madagascar. I’ll try my best to represent CFO while touring around the crossfits in Australia before I set sail. Luckily for some of you (Rippa) this “hiatus” from CFO gives you a chance to pull me from my illustrious and much sought after, throne on the top of the ‘fish game’ record board…..good luck! Of course while I’m away we will probably need a temporary BADger handler. Anyone interested should tryout at CFO. Extra points are awarded to the best s%$t talking inflicted on R. BADger. He loves it.
I also wanted to thank everybody for the support. None of us would be as good as we are without the extra push we all get and give in the gym. Keep pushing the limits. To those of you who haven’t experienced it yet (or in a long time….Kevin), you’re missing out. See you all in…..a while.
Steve

If you have been wondering what happened to Tom well here he is on the USS Essex in the Philippines doing Fran. He did it Rx in 8:44. He is also up to 30 pull ups now and falls over often on squats when the ship rocks. Wish him luck and he should be back by the end of march driving his flashy Mercedes around.

So, the results are in…The Badger was officially a “No Show” at the X1 MMA fights friday night, but I know he appreciated all of your optimistic votes on the message board! He not only looks like a high roller getting interviewed that night with Bryant, but more importantly, he’ll be climbing out of his cage to fight in a few months.
X1 invited us to talk about conditioning for MMA fighters. We’ll let you know when the interview will be on mmahawaii.com, so tune in to check out Marcus’s on camera persona.
So what do you think, do MMA fighters need a different type of fitness than the average crossfitter or just a different level?
