Murph

For time:
1 mile Run
100 Pull-ups
200 Push-ups
300 Squats
1 mile Run

Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you’ve got a twenty pound vest or body armor, wear it.

Lt. Michael P. Murphy, the namesake of the above workout, has been posthumously awarded a Medal of Honor. Read more about his bravery here and here.

  1. There’s also a book called “Lone Survivor” that is written by Marcus Luttrell, the surviving SEAL. It’s a great book.

  2. This was my first “Murph” -

    42:30

    Mods: Kipping pull-ups, hilly terrain.

First mile was under 6:30. Second mile was an exhausting 10:00. I took a quick break in the middle to observe a somber evening colors on NCTAMS. My only regret was having nothing more to give.

For LT and the other members of Team One who gave everything that day…
